The BC TEAL/TESOL Bursary was established by BC TEAL and TESOL in 1992 to commemorate the first TESOL Convention held in Vancouver, Canada in 1992.
The BC TEAL /TESOL Bursary is a travel grant for a member in good standing of TESL Canada or a TESOL affiliate. The BC TEAL/TESOL Bursary can be used to cover travel and accommodation costs for attending or participating in the TESOL Annual Convention or a TESL Canada Annual Conference.
All applicants must be members in good standing of TESL Canada or a TESOL affiliate. Applicants must indicate evidence of service to their local/provincial TESL/TEAL association or affiliate.
The BC TEAL/TESOL Bursary is valued at up to $1,000.00 [CAD]. The BC TEAL/ TESOL Bursary will be awarded once the TEAL Charitable Foundation receives an invoice with receipts showing travel expenses. The recipient must submit a final report and trip receipts to the TEAL Charitable Foundation within 90 days of his/her return from the conference.
The application deadline for the BC TEAL/TESOL Bursary is November 1st of each year. The successful recipient will be notified by the TEAL Charitable Foundation within six weeks of the application deadline.
