Project Funding Award
The Project Funding Award was established By the TEAL Charitable Foundation in 1986 to fund research projects, special projects and conferences.
Description
The Project Funding Award is for funding research projects, special projects and professional development events. The award does not fund individual scholarships, fellowships or bursaries or fund research projects and special projects that will generate a profit. Preference will be given to those applicants who are members of BC TEAL.
Amount of Award
The Project Funding Award is valued at up to $3000 [CAD]. The project must be completed and the grant disbursed within one year of acceptance. A grant will be disbursed once final report/evaluation and receipts are received by the TEAL Charitable Foundation. Cheques are issued to individuals.
Application Deadline
The application deadline for the Project Funding Award is November 1st of each year. Please note that only successful applicants will be notified in writing by the TEAL Charitable Foundation.
Application Procedure
Applicants need to submit:
- i] A completed Project Funding Award Application Form included at the end of this document
- ii] A description of the Proposed Project. The following information is required: 1) A detailed budget specifying all costs as applicable: salaries; materials (paper, audiovisual, etc.); publishing costs (duplicating, binding, etc.); communication costs (phone, fax, meeting); equipment costs (rental); travel and accommodation costs; other expenses. 2) A detailed time line specifying anticipated start and completion dates as well as various stages of the plan. 3) A clear statement of the expected outcome/s or product/s, criteria and method of evaluating the expected outcome/s or products.
- iii] A statement of the funding amount requested for the project.
- iv] A list of any additional funding from other sources if applicable.
- v] Describe how the results of the project will be shared with the members of BC TEAL.

Application Submission
Applicants are required to submit two copies of their application form – one original copy and one photo copy plus all other necessary documentation and the Project Funding Application Form.
