2013 Northern BC Regional Conference at College of New Caledonia

The BC TEAL Northern Interior Regional Conference 2013 was successfully held on Saturday, October 19, at College of New Caledonia (CNC) in Prince George, BC.  There was positive feedback about the northern location, and several attendees commented how grateful they were for not having to fly out of town to go to a conference.

Four PD workshops were held; two happening in the morning and the other two workshops in the afternoon. Dr. Patricia Duff of UBC gave the plenary talk which covered a historical perspective on current pedagogy by using her vast wealth of knowledge and research.

Special thanks must go out to Marta Tejero of CNC and Jolanta Caputo, as they picked us up at the airport, took us around Prince George and even gave us a tour of UNBC after the conference. Bjorn Petersen the BC TEAL Northern Region Representative sponsored the coffee break that featured great refreshments.
