Seeking Contract English Language Instructors for the Following Positions:
- LINC 2 Evening Instructor: Starting April, 2022
- LINC (Level TBD) Evening Instructor: Starting May, 2022
- LINC 3 Evening Instructor Backfill: July 5 – September 1, 2022 (No classes from July 18 – July 29 for our Summer Closure)
- On-Call LINC Instructors – morning (M-F, 9am-12pm) afternoon, (M-F, 1-4pm), evening (T/W/TH, 6:30-9:30)
We are seeking instructors who have:
- An undergraduate degree from a recognized university
- The equivalent to TESL Canada Professional Standard 1 Certification
- Two- years’ experience in Adult English Language instruction in a group setting
- Experience teaching in an immigrant and refugee settlement language program
- Demonstrated familiarity with Portfolio Based Language Assessment (PBLA) and the Canada Language Benchmarks (CLB).
- A can-do attitude, an organized approach and a sensitivity to settlement language student needs
- Strong computer skills and ability to teach online if necessary

- Evening hours are 9 hours per week (Tues, Wed & Thurs 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm)
- Classes are currently being held ‘in-person’
- Rate of pay is $31.16 per teaching hour
- Location: Douglas College Surrey, 13769 104 Ave, Surrey, BC V3T 1W6
